  Ingleside is Working on a Strategic Plan for the Future! 

      The Ingleside Civic League established a formal Strategic Planning Committee to lead our residents in developing a long-term plan for future development in Ingleside.  The Committee will share the results of the Strategic Goals Survey and will ask the residents/civic league members to acknowledge the top 3 priorities of the Ingleside community at the January 21, 2021 virtual civic league Zoom meeting.  All residents are encouraged to participate.  We want to hear and know what is important to you!  For more information contact Committee Chair Phillip Hawkins, Jr. at iclstrategicplan@gmail.com or call 757-752-8584.

Special Virginia House of Delegates 90th District Election - Tuesday, January 5, 2021 - VOTE!!!

December 28th 2020 - Deadline to Request Absentee Ballot/Early voting in person begins/absentee ballots requested will begin to be mailed

December 28-31, 2020; January 2, 2021 9 AM - 5 PM- Early Voting In Person at Norfolk City Hall - Go to your Local Elections Office Vote Early

December 28th 2020 5 PM - Deadline to request an absentee ballot to be mailed to you

December 29th 2020 5 PM - Last Day to register to vote  

January 5, 2021 - Election Day - Vote in person at your polling precinct Polls are Open 6:00 AM - 7:00 PM

January 5, 2021 - Any Absentee ballots to be mailed must be postmarked by this date.

FACILITY INFORMATION:

Opened in January 2013. 

This 8,400 square foot, $1.9 million gymnasium features: 

  • Full-length college/high school regulation 84’ x 50’ basketball court
  • Two side running basketball courts
  • Men’s and Women’s restroom facilities
  • Covered breezeway connecting gymnasium to school 
  • The gymnasium will be utilized by the adjacent Ingleside Elementary School and Ingleside Recreation Center, providing an indoor athletic space for youth in the Ingleside neighborhood.
  • The gym is home to the Broncos Jaguars Youth Athletic Club (BJYAC), which supports youth sports in the Ingleside. 
  • The building of the new gymnasium is in support of the Healthy Norfolk Initiative and in line with the Norfolk Recreation Master Plan to increase opportunities for recreation and wellness throughout the city.
